As part of the First Look Film Festival, we invite you to spend an evening with local Colorado filmmaker Monty Miranda; our honored speaker at the 2007 festival.

Monty is a graduate of the CU Boulder Film School and was the recent recipient of the South by Southwest Film Festival Audience-Choice Award for his latest film. Shot entirely in and around Denver, Colorado, "Skills Like This" is a hilarious look at one young man who discovers that his only real skill in life is larceny.
Monty will present clips from the film as well as highlights from his commercial career. A Q&A will offer the audience an opportunity to engage in a conversation with this local independent filmmaker. The program, on Saturday, April 21 at 6:00 p.m. at the Starz FilmCenter, is free to the public.
